Top 5 Most Expensive Paintings

This is the collection of most expensive painting or the highest known prices ever paid for painting. This list is ordered by consumer price index inflation-adjusted value in millions of US dollars. Where necessary, the price is first converted to dollars using the exchange rate at the time the painting was sold. The inflation adjustment may change as recent inflation rates are often revised. A list in another currency would probably be in a slightly different order due to exchange rate fluctuations. Paintings are only listed once, i.e. for the highest price sold. Enjoy the Collection of Most Expensive Paintings

4.No. 5, 1948

Rumored to be worth $140 million, the No. 5, 1948 painting by Jackson Pollock is not short of controversy. The painting is rumored to have been sold to David Martinez; a managing partner at Fintech Advisory, a firm that deals with providing debt solutions to countries and corporations. It might be because of the implications that come with announcing that you have a painting worth millions in your living room to the public, but David Martinez’s attorneys denied that he is in possession of the painting.
